Just a few are gathered now
In a place so light and free
Just a few converging
One of them could be me.
Just a few assembled
To dance under a sinking sun
Soon nighttime will gather
You won’t find them on the run.
Amassing love and peace
Souls create a true convergence
They practice and rehearse
Creating a love-filled resurgence.
We will keep on dancing
Moving under a star-lit sky
Spinning and twirling
We are free until they die.
All will still be singing
Those precious songs from within
There are no words, only space
Little comforts in this tailspin.
It will surely end in death
But at least we will be free
All certainly ends with nothing
And the same will be of me.
Until that time I will keep dancing
Singing until I am free
Until then you will find me twirling
Living, a mind full of God’s esprit.
Darling, you can keep on dancing
For it will set your spirit free
You may look within your own sweet self
Gazing deeper still to see.
Just a few are gathered now
It may seem dark and stormy outside
And it may be tempting to hold onto
Those dark feelings, the pain, the anger.
But today, we can usher in a brilliant light
A light that lives on within the heart
A light that no man can dampen.
Just imagine, your whole being
From head to toe, your whole being
Soaked in a healing, loving light.
That light then concentrates in your heart
And with every heartbeat, it arises
Spilling and spreading out into the world.
This gift of eternal love and light
Is yours, it’s free, and it’s right there
Inside your heart forever.
Open to its presence and step right in
Radiate that light to all in need
It’s your own eternal flame.
Look out your window
And notice the still quietness
A calm and quiet river
Reflecting back all she sees.
Trees float gently on her surface
Golden in the early morning light.
Clouds on the horizon
Puffy cotton gliding lightly on the surface.
And mighty sun, she rises
Orange, red, pink, yellow
Vibrant mirror like presence.
This is the place where fire meets water
The impossible becomes reality
Right before you
River reflects life.
He sent me an angel, but I chose not to see
The light that was pouring
From the being in front of me.
He sent me a light, so I could now know
That I was no longer alone
Somehow I failed to see it’s bright glow.
He sent me a message, written boldly in ink
Clear and articulate, oh so very neat
Yet I struggled again to see link after link.
Sadly I cried, until I finally asked him one day
Hey big old guy in the sky
Can’t you send me some answers, guide me on my way?
His face full of love, with a smile brighter than the sun
He laughed and he chuckled
It’s all right there, just stop from your frantic run.
Breathe he said, and you will know
So I breathed, sitting still
And it all began to flow.
The light, the stars, the sky all around
They too breathed out their knowledge
And life became profound.
Thank you, thank you, big man in the sky
And he laughed and he twinkled
Someday, he said, you will know why….
We formed a circle
Sitting around a center filled with love
And reminders: hearts, candles, light.
And we shared
And reached for rumbled tissues.
We sat in that circle and we realized
How completely broken and shattered we are
And how completely whole and loved we are.
In that circle, we were both and all.
Emotions came tumbling out of us
Unlocked by a greater presence.
So now we fly apart and away from the center
We continue on this healing journey
Grieving and healing, laughing and crying.
Answering the call toward love
That grew from moments in the circle.
When the loss is so great
And your heart feels beyond heavy
Saturated with grief and pain
Don’t run and hide in the fear
Rather open up completely
Let the grief swallow you whole
Let the pain tear you apart, bit by bit
Remolding your core of being
For when you open up to
The free falling dark abyss of grief
You will walk through that dark, fire-y, painful night
You will stumble and fall
You will ache and hurt
You will shudder and cry out
And you will carry on, forward marching
And emerge anew
On another side of this universe
Filled with peace, ease, love, and light.
So go now, and take all of your braveness
All of your love that you once knew for this precious lost soul
And allow it to propel you forward
Taking the hand of those who are likewise suffering
Together, you can scream through that dark abyss
Shed rivers of tears on the burning path
Rake your soul over the flames of death
And at last come to calm those fires
With your own healing river of tears
Be brave dear souls
And walk into that promise
Of a light filled peace
Emerging beyond the abyss.
I glance up at the moon
Singing that old familiar tune
I see the stars transform and align
Wondering now, is this some kind of sign?
Than my head, it starts twirling around
And the song becomes a pure light sound
Changing stars twinkling back at me
Whispering, just you wait, you wait and see.
Just you wait and see
The stars might collide for me
Just you wait and sit yourself outside
Take your seat at the universal ringside.
Watch the show, as it slowly unfolds
And your soul reaches out for its stronghold
So many rainbows come forth, rising with the sun
We are so far, far from being done.
Oh yes, let’s wait, wait and finally see
This moment is revealing the light from you and me
So now wait, wait and you will see
Give it the time, a day or maybe three.
Purple clouds emerge and chase the rainbows
Where they are headed, nobody knows
And those stars aligned, down they fall
Streaking through the sky like a multi-colored fireball.
Hurry now, don’t be too late
Chase those stars, follow your fate
Look into the steaming crater, see the light show
Shout and dance, share what you now know.
So hurry now, don’t be too late
Or wait some more and sense your own fate
Hurry now, and then see if you can wait
Brilliant stars align, you carry the weight.
