She writes

She writes about her dreams

Of fleet feet and flying fantasy

Winning it all

Her dreams precede her

Into the dark of night

Where the stars seem nearly attainable

Though hidden within a blanket of wildfire smoke

Her dreams lift her spirit

To that place where true Soul flies free

Everything is possible

The surreal becomes palpable

Ethereal emerges, an effable reality

She dreams

Time melts like Dali’s clocks

Thoughts spinning realities

Carried away again

Riding on the coattails of the imagined

She may get lost or not found

Dreaming her small life away

This Is Life

“This Is Life!” they said,

I sighed, rolled over

And continued to play dead.

*

Yet it rang in my ears

“But you can’t ignore it”, they said

I looked around and brushed away my fears.

*

I took a deep breath

And I yelled aloud

“This ain’t my life! If so I prefer Death!”

*

“Hmmmmph, well that ain’t right”

They whispered back

“But go ahead, walk into the light”.

*

So, I did: I leapt and I fell

Crawling into the light

Phew…heaven and not hell.

*

It should be the end of the story

However it wasn’t

I continue to rise, filled with glory.

*

“Told you” they said

Hmmm, maybe they were right

I am better off not dead.

Star Journey

I took a sip and blew of my head
Rolled around on the ground
Left my body for dead.
*
I flew past the moon
Burned by a few stars
Seeking what was coming soon.
*

True brightness, the greatest of lights
And it beckoned me, step in
One way only, no exit in sight.
*
I leapt right into the light that was you
Watched your death once more,
Finally you rose, and together we flew.
*
We melted like one in time and space
Unified beings, all are here
No need for the never ending race.
*
A million years later, back home we came
Past those stars, that glittering moon
Life will never be the same.
*
Don’t forget; we are still liquescent
Melting together, like stars into moon
All good, all beings, all love heaven sent.

An Answer

He sent me an angel, but I chose not to see

The light that was pouring

From the being in front of me.

~

He sent me a light, so I could now know

That I was no longer alone

Somehow I failed to see it’s bright glow.

~

He sent me a message, written boldly in ink

Clear and articulate, oh so very neat

Yet I struggled again to see link after link.

~

Sadly I cried, until I finally asked him one day

Hey big old guy in the sky

Can’t you send me some answers, guide me on my way?

~

His face full of love, with a smile brighter than the sun

He laughed and he chuckled

It’s all right there, just stop from your frantic run.

~

Breathe he said, and you will know

So I breathed, sitting still

And it all began to flow.

~

The light, the stars, the sky all around

They too breathed out their knowledge

And life became profound.

~

Thank you, thank you, big man in the sky

And he laughed and he twinkled

Someday, he said, you will know why….

Stars Align

I glance up at the moon

Singing that old familiar tune

I see the stars transform and align

Wondering now, is this some kind of sign?

*

Than my head, it starts twirling around

And the song becomes a pure light sound

Changing stars twinkling back at me

Whispering, just you wait, you wait and see.

*

Just you wait and see

The stars might collide for me

Just you wait and sit yourself outside

Take your seat at the universal ringside.

*

Watch the show, as it slowly unfolds

And your soul reaches out for its stronghold

So many rainbows come forth, rising with the sun

We are so far, far from being done.

*

Oh yes, let’s wait, wait and finally see

This moment is revealing the light from you and me

So now wait, wait and you will see

Give it the time, a day or maybe three.

*

Purple clouds emerge and chase the rainbows

Where they are headed, nobody knows

And those stars aligned, down they fall

Streaking through the sky like a multi-colored fireball.

*

Hurry now, don’t be too late

Chase those stars, follow your fate

Look into the steaming crater, see the light show

Shout and dance, share what you now know.

*

So hurry now, don’t be too late

Or wait some more and sense your own fate

Hurry now, and then see if you can wait

Brilliant stars align, you carry the weight.
